We are Ruth & Rick Grihalva. We have earned Master Quilter status. We are the own-operators of Forever In Stitches, the home of our Award-Winning Longarming Studio as well as Raggedy Ruth Designs™ and the Perfect Corner Ruler™. We are an automated studio with two state-of-the-art Innova AutoPilot Mach 3 longarms with Grand Format Embroidery. We have been professionally longarming for 17 years, have longarmed 10,000 quilts, have a library of 5,000 patterns, and have created 1,600 patterns on our own to fit the occasion. We do edge-to-edge, edge-to-edge with borders, and custom quilting. Additionally, we have created two self-study multi-media courses for the Innova Mach 3 that have sold over 200 copies. We also have an active, informative newsletter that is published several times per month. There is an archive of all newsletters from the past four years on our web-site.

We provide Quilters’ Dream Poly Request Batting in all of our quotations. Different Quilters’ Dream fibers and thicknesses can be requested with a week’s lead-time at the difference in cost. We also carry 120” Moda backing as shown on our web-site.

We offer three kinds of services. All three services include batting and thread in the quoted cost. All services are quoted with a written quote. Normal turn-around time is two weeks, except at Christmas and school year end. Pricing criteria are listed in our on-line pamphlets on our web-site. The services are:

Walk-in Longarming – This is a standard walk-in orientation. We check-in your quilt top, etc. and assist you in choosing the appropriate stitching design(s) and thread color(s).

Mail-In Longarming – This is similar to Longarming Services except the choosing of designs and thread color are done via telephone conversations with emailed pictures. At the present time this accounts for 60% of our business. We have served quilters in 12 states using this service. Return UPS shipping is paid by us for all longarming services over $75.

DIY [Do-It-Yourself] Longarming – This is for those who want, or need, to see their quilt all the way through the creative processes. The quilter performs all of the functions under the supervision and guidance of Master Quilters Ruth or Rick Grihalva. There are no classes to take. It is all “On-The-Job-Training.” This is a great option for hand quilters wanting to quilt a large item and a necessity for situations such as 4H, where the quilting must be done by the artist.
